Known properties : Traditionally used in Herbal medicine as an expectorant to help relieve excess mucous of the respiratory passaes and to help relieve coughs.

Contains : Medicinal ingredients: (Liquid Extract: 1:4) Each teaspoon 5 ml contains the equivalent to 1025 mg Hyssop herb (Hyssopus officinalis), 95 mg Anise seed (Pimpinelle anisum), 45 mg Elecampane root (Inula helenium), 45 mg Wild cherry bark (Prunus serotina), 40 mg Irish Moss (Chondrus crispus). Non-medicinal ingredients: Purified water, 6% natural grain alcohol.

Description : R.E.S.P. is a formula to treat respiratory problems like cough, bronchitis, respiratory infections and asthma. The elecampane has remarkable expectorant properties and protects lungs. It is antiviral and has beneficial effect on chronic cough. The wild cherry is used to treat coughs, colds, whooping coughs, bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis and recurrent fevers. It corrects chronic respiratory problems related to asthma by breaking and expelling infected mucus from lungs and respiratory tract. Irish moss is mucilaginous, so it soothes inflamed and ulcerated surfaces during dry cough.

Hyssop contains marrubiline, a bitter principle that is an expectorant and fluids bronchial secretions. The anise is an antispasmodic, it promotes expectoration in the treatment of coughs (bronchitis, asthma, colds, flu). It calms all nervous system disorders such as dry cough. It also acts against fatigue. It is also used to relieve sinus congestion and as a tonic against lung disease.

Recommended dosage : Take 1 teaspoon 3 times daily or as recommended by your health care practitioner.

Cautions and warnings : Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding, if allergy to Daisy or Carrot plant families. Consult a health care practitioner if you have diabetes, hypertension, hypotension; if symptoms are severe or persist more than 2 days; or if cough worsens or persists more than 7 days or is accompanied by high fever. If taking herbs/medications with sedative properties, or Cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) substrates; or with hormone sensitive cancers/conditions. Discontinue use if allergic reaction occurs. Do not use if safety seal is broken. Contain sediment. Shake well. Refrigerate after opening.
