Contains : Comfrey root (Symphytum officinalis), ratio 1:5, purified water, 27% natural grain alcohol.

Description : Commission E recognize its use to relieve bruises and sprains, applied externally.

The comfrey is rich in mucilage (about 29%), a thick and viscous substance that has emollient properties. Its root contains allantoin, a healing component often found in commercial skin creams. The plant also contains rosmarinic acid, a phenolic acid which has anti-inflammatory properties.

Another unique feature : it would be the only known vegetable source of vitamin B12.

It helps the wounds healing, boils and abscesses suppurating, accelerating the healing of fractures, treatment of pulled muscles, hemorrhoids and, internally, coughing, asthma, respiratory disorders and digestive and gastric ulcers.

Recommended dosage : External use : Do not use more than 10 consecutive days and no more than 4 to 6 weeks (total) per year. Internal use: 10 to 30 drops 3 times daily or as recommended by your health care practitioner.

Cautions and warnings : Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding, children and people with liver diseases.

Adverse reactions : Excessive and long term use may cause serious liver problems.
