Known properties : Traditionally used as an astringent to help treat diarrhea.
Contains : Red raspberry leaf (Rubus strigosus), ratio 1:5, purified water, 27% natural grain alcohol.
Description : Due to its high content in tannin, it is used as antidiarrheal and astringent. It is mainly used as gargle in mouth and throat inflammation. Its leaves are rich in iron, which characterises it for strengthen the blood.
The raspberry leaf is very useful for gastro-intestinal, respiratory, cardiovascular system, as well as painful periods (dysmenorrhea).
The raspberry leaves strengthen the longitudinal muscle of the uterus, also increasing the amplitude of contractions, which help to expel the child. It has a tonic effect on the uterus (take during the last three months of pregnancy and during childbirth).
It contains polypeptides, flavonoids and tannins.
Recommended dosage : 3/4 tsp 2 to 3 times daily or as recommended by your health care practitioner.
Cautions and warnings : Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Absorption of the iron, calcium and magnesium in supplements may be decreased if used at the same time as this product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking any medication or if you suffer gastrointestinal inflammation conditions. This product can affect the absorption of sedatives, hypnotics, antidepressants and tranquilizers. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding or for children under 12 years old. Do not use with hormone sensitive cancers or conditions, or with metformin.
